Receive RSS feeds from SharePoint lists or libraries
1. Open the list or library on the SharePoint website in a web browser.
If the list or library cannot be found, click"View All website content"And then click the name of the list or library.
2."Operation"Click"View RSS sources".
A webpage appears, which contains a summary of the items in the list or library.
3. on this page, click"Subscribe to this RSS source"Link.
4. Click"Yes".
The list or library's RSS source will appear in"RSS source"Folder.
5."RSS source"Select a folder for the Sharepoint list or library.
If you have already opened the reading pane, the relevant content is displayed in the reading pane. You can read and interact with the content in the reading pane.
6. To open an RSS feed for a list item or file, double-click the RSS feed.
7. Some RSS source items are the summary of the entire Sharepoint list item or file. To view the entire list of items or files, click"ViewArticle"Link.
Create notifications for Sharepoint lists or libraries
You can create a notification so that the SharePoint website will notify you when the items in the list or library change. You can create notifications from Outlook 2007 or SharePoint websites. To create a notification, you must connect to the server running the SharePoint website and have the right to create a notification for the list or library. The following process describes how to create a notification by using office Outlook 2007.
NoteSharePoint administrators can modify, restrict, and disable notifications for the entire website. For more information, contact the administrator of the SharePoint website.

- In outlook, confirm thatNavigation Pane"Select"Email".

- In"New notification"In the dialog box, select the source of the notification to be created. If you cannot see the SharePoint website for which you want to create a notification, go"Website address"Enter the address of the website.
- Click"Open".
The SharePoint website is opened and displayed"New notification"Page.

- Click the list or library for which you want to create notifications.

- In"Notification title"Enter the title of the notification. This is notified by email."Topic"The Content Used in the dialog box.

- In"Notification recipient"Enter the name of the person to send the notification to, or click the address book button to select the name. To send a notification to yourself, enter your email name.
According to the settings on the website and your permissions on the website, your email address may already appear and you may not be able to add notifications to others.

- Select the desired settings (for example, notify me when any content changes, or notify me when the created Project changes) and the frequency of receiving notifications.

- Click"OK".

- To create other notifications, go"My notifications about this website"Click"Add notification".
PromptYou can also set notifications for specific projects or files in the list or library on the SharePoint site. In the list or library on the SharePoint site, point to the project or file, click the arrow that appears, and then click"Notify me ".
Cancel the RSS feed from the Sharepoint list or library Canceling an RSS feed received from a Sharepoint list or library is similar to canceling any other RSS feed.
- InNavigation Pane"In"Email", Click"RSS source"Folder.
- Select the RSS source to cancel.
- Press delete.
- When you are prompted to confirm deletion, click"Yes".
Note
- If you want to retain the RSS feed but want to delete a downloaded project, open the RSS feed folder, select the project to be deleted, and then press Delete.
- You can also cancel the RSS feed without deleting the downloaded project. In"Tools"Click"Account settings"And then click"RSS source"Tab. Select the list or library to unsubscribe to, and then click"Delete".
- If you try to delete an RSS feed while it is in the same step, a message is displayed, indicating that you must wait until the synchronization is complete before deleting it.
Notification of canceling Sharepoint list or library You can manage notifications from Outlook 2007 or SharePoint sites. To cancel a list or library notification, you must have the right to modify the list or library notification. The following process describes how to use Outlook 2007 to cancel a notification.
