If the machine cannot receive a fax, follow these steps:
1. Check whether the print copy or print configuration page is normal. If yes, continue with step 2. If not, troubleshoot the problem based on the machine screen error. (For example, the display card paper, paper shortage, insufficient Toner, exhausted Toner, safe receipt, and other error messages, the fax will not be printed and will be received by the memory)
Note:
(1) when the machine reports "insufficient Toner" or "used up Toner", the machine will automatically save the fax in the memory to avoid unclear fax printing. You can switch the front cover. When "change toner cartridge-stop/continue" is displayed on the screen, select continue and press OK to print the fax, if you cannot print it out after the operation and the screen displays "change new toner cartridge", it indicates that the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. We recommend that you replace the new toner cartridge.
(2) memory reception is caused by secure reception. The secure reception function stores faxes in the memory and prints the faxes only after the password is entered. You can disable or print the faxes, print the fax.
2. check whether the connection is normal. If the connection is abnormal, check the Line connection. We recommend that you directly connect the Line port on the machine after the main Line of the phone comes out of the wall, do not connect to other services, such as the distribution box, switch, and broadband binding. If you want to connect to other business lines, we recommend that you try a new one. If the line is correct, proceed with Step 3.
3. Check whether the operation for receiving a fax is correct. Click here to view the operation for receiving a fax. If there is no problem with receiving a fax, proceed to step 4.
4. Check whether multiple hosts cannot receive messages or receive messages from one ECS instance. If one ECS instance cannot receive messages, the other ECS instance may have a problem with the other ECS instance. If multiple hosts cannot receive faxes, check the reception mode settings. The common mode is Fax (automatic mode) and telephone (manual mode). If not, we recommend that you change the mode and try to receive the fax again. Click here to view the settings. If the problem persists, proceed with Step 5.
5. If the above information is available, enter the technical mode of the machine to adjust the fax rate.
(1) Choose menu, #, 1, 9, 3, and 4 on the control panel, and click menu.
(2) when Tech Menu is displayed on the screen, press OK.
(3) when Data Setup is displayed on the screen, press OK.
(4) press the right arrow on the control panel to find Modem Speed, and then press OK.
(5) press the right arrow on the control panel to find 14.4, and then press OK.
(6) press the return key on the control panel to go to the standby state, finally, Press [menu], [#], [1], [9], [3], and [4] to restore to the ready mode, you can try the fax operation again.
If none of the above operations can be solved, it is recommended that you change the other lines to try.
