SCCM TP4 creating boundaries and boundary groups
After we have configured the discovery we need to create boundaries and boundary groups. One important function of defining boundaries and boundary groups is to target boundaries and boundary groups when resources are distributed later. For example, if the company network expands later, the new computers or users are not in the boundaries and boundary groups created previously, then when we distribute resources in SCCM, the resources we distribute to previously created boundaries or boundary groups cannot be applied to new computers or networks. Of course we can also use the client to download the installation from the distribution point! Here's how to create boundaries and boundary groups:
Log in to the SCCM server, open SCCM Manager, and navigate to: Administration-Hierarchy configuration-boundaries:

Because Active Directory forest discovery is enabled, the system automatically creates boundaries later. So you just need to create a boundary group here.
Navigate to "Manage"-"Hierarchy Configuration"-"Boundary group", right-mouse boundary group, click Create Boundary Group:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 241 "title=" clip_image004 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image004 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/80/49/ Wkiom1c9menxwb9laab-leb1h8m020.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Enter the appropriate description information in the description location, enter Contoso here and choose to add the boundary "default-first-site-name" to the boundary group as shown in:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 459 "title=" clip_image006 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image006 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M02/80/49/ Wkiom1c9merj4zhoaactlxn5ufw780.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
Switch to the References tab, tick "Use this boundary group for site assignment" and add the appropriate site system server, click OK:
650) this.width=650; "height=" 459 "title=" clip_image008 "style=" border:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px; Padding-left:0px;background-image:none, "alt=" clip_image008 "src=" http://s3.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/80/49/ Wkiom1c9mevakayqaadgjgkpeau827.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
After the configuration is complete, as shown:
