SCVMM RU10 Add an Azure subscription

If you have managed a local virtual machine in VMM, you can use this feature to perform some very basic operations on Azure instances without leaving the VMM console. You can:

? Use the VMM console to add and remove one or more Azure subscriptions.
? See a list view that contains details and status for all role instances in all deployments in this subscription.
? Manually refresh the list of instances.
? perform basic operations on an instance: Start, stop, shut down, restart, connect via RDP.

1. Download the upgrade SCVMM package:

2. Download and install Makecert.exe and Pvk2pfx.exe, both tools can be found in the installation directory

3. Run the following command with administrator privileges and go to the directory of the tool to produce the CERT certificate and key. In the process of generating the certificate, enter a password (for example: 123456).

4. After the command is finished, produce azureconfig.cer and azureconfig.pvk and upload the azureconfig.cer to Azure.

6. Import this certificate into SCVMM's "Current user", "personal".

7. Upload the Azureconfig.cer certificate to Azure

8. Add an Azure subscription to SCVMM

9. Enter the name "Azure Cloud" "Azure Subscription ID" and select the imported certificate (the certificate must have the private key open to see here)
