The rulers in Word are by default in characters, and in practical applications it is not good for us to calculate the size of the paper. In many cases, such as printing documents, papers, pictures and so on need to specify the size, to be in Word in advance to set a long width, then we need to change the ruler unit to centimeters, to facilitate our confirmation size.
1. The unit of measure in the current document is a character. Click the Office Button, and in the Drop-down list that pops up, click Word Options.
2. Switch to the Advanced tab in the pop-up dialog box, drag the right scroll bar to the "Show" column, and we find that the unit of measure has been set to centimeters, and now just click to cancel the tick before the "unit of measure" in character width. When you are finished, click OK.
3. The units of the ruler have been changed to centimeters. You can also set up units, such as inches, millimeters, etc. according to your own habits or needs.
Note: Be sure to remove the check "in character width as unit of measure", otherwise set to what unit of measurement will not change.
