Information sharing is one of the main themes of the Internet era. Sharing Files, printers, and other software resources is nothing new, people can greatly improve their office efficiency. With the gradual maturity of streaming media technology, the pace of audio and video sharing is also quietly approaching. However, I wonder if you have heard of TV program sharing, I believe that few users have tried to share their TV programs. If you want to feel it, let's take a look at the following content. Here, I will use a video capture card to teach you how to enjoy the sharing of TV programs.
1. Before sharing, you must first prepare a computer with high performance and a Windows 2000 server operating system, therefore, I will use this computer as the server for shared access to TV programs.
2. select a suitable video capture card. Here, I take leadtek's winfast tv2000 video capture card as an example, because this video capture card can run in various operating system environments of Win98 or later versions, and it is not easy to see errors during work; if another video capture card is used, TV program sharing may fail due to system compatibility issues.
3. Install the prepared video capture card on the server correctly. The Installation Process of the winfast tv2000 video capture card is very simple. During installation, you only need to first turn off the server power and then directly Insert the video card into the appropriate slot of the server, after the card is inserted, turn on the server's power. Later, Windows 2000 can automatically identify the winfast tv2000 video capture card. Then, you just need to install the video capture card driver according to the wizard prompt on the screen. Program And other applications.
4. Prepare a cable TV line for the computer serving as the server. To enable the computer as a server to receive cable TV programs, in addition to correctly installing the video capture card, you must also prepare a cable TV line, connect the cable line interface to the video card interface, so that the computer can watch TV programs or even listen to the radio through related software. Once the winfast tv2000 program runs, the server system automatically searches for channels to find all the video programs that can be played.
5. So far, we have completed the task of playing TV programs on the server computer! However, if you want other users in the LAN to share the TV program played by the computer on the server side, you must continue with the following settings.
6. Download the Windows Media decoder 9.0. In order to enable the server computer to provide easy-to-use, high-quality coding, and enhanced programmatic and managed on-site network play or demand play services to other client computers, you must also download and install a Windows Media decoder on the server. Although Windows 2000 Server has its own decoder, it has a low version, therefore, we recommend that you use the latest version 9.0 of the Windows Media decoder. You can download the file at http://as.onlinedown.net/down/wmencoder.exe. the size of the file is MB.
7. Install the decoder on the server. After downloading the Windows Media decoder 9.0, double-click the installation file with the mouse. Then, the system will open the standard windows program installation wizard dialog box. You only need to follow the prompts to perform the operation, you can easily install the decoder. However, before installation, you should ensure that programs of DirectX 8.1 or later are installed on the server. Otherwise, you will not be able to correctly install Windows Media decoder 9.0.
10. After the installation is complete, we must configure the Windows Media decoder 9.0 so that the client computer can correctly access the TV programs on the server. After running the Windows Media Encoder program, you can directly go to its parameter settings window. During Specific configuration, you can click the "device options" tab first, on this tab page, make sure that "video" and "audio" are selected as the corresponding device.
11. Click the "broadcast connection" tab on the configuration page, and on the tag page that will be opened later, make sure that the http port value that can be allocated (the default port number is 8080) cannot conflict with other access ports. Otherwise, other users in the network cannot access TV programs.
12. Return to the configuration page of the Windows Media Encoder, and click the "select Configuration File" tab with the left mouse button, in the subsequent Configuration window, select the "Lan, cable modem, and xDSL video" option. After configuring the preceding parameters, you can open the main operation interface of the Windows Media Encoder. In this interface, you can choose the TV program to be broadcast to the client, then, click the start button on the main operation interface to share the TV program on the server.
13. Once the TV programs on the server side are shared, other client machines on the LAN can access the shared TV programs. However, before the official access, you must also make a small setting in the workstation: First open the Windows Media Player in the Start menu, and execute the "file"/"open" command in sequence on the program interface, in the subsequent dialog box, enter the server address in the format of MMS: // XXX. xxx. xxx. XXX: 8080 ".
14. Assume that the IP address of the TV server set up here is "168.160.133.61". Then, you must enter MMS: // 168.160.133.61: 8080 "in the displayed dialog box ", after entering the information, click "OK", so that the client can enjoy the TV programs shared on the server.
15. Through the above steps, we can easily achieve the purpose of sharing TV programs over the Internet. However, this sharing method has some shortcomings, that is, the user cannot access the TV programs on the server on the client. The accessed content can only be specified by the server in advance.
