Compressed files are becoming more and more popular in our computers. How can we use WinRAR to quickly sort and pile up compressed files? How can we quickly convert the compression format, delete files in the compressed package in batches, batch extract desired files, add comments in batches, fix compressed files, and create self-extracting files?
1. Batch convert compression formats
After a few steps, you can batch convert zip, ARJ, Ace, cab, ISO, and other compressed files on the hard disk to files in RAR and zip formats.
Run WinRAR, switch the directory to the folder that saves the compressed file, select the compressed file to be converted by pressing CTRL and shift in the file list, and click "Tools → convert file format ", in the window shown in "1", click "Browse" next to "folder for storing converted Files" to select a folder, press the "OK" button to convert multiple compressed files of different types to the RAR format.
If you want to convert files to zip files in batches, click the "compression" button. The window shown in 2 is displayed. You can select the converted compression type as RAR or zip, you can also set other parameters such as compression ratio and volume splitting.
Tips
Click WinRAR "file → select a group" and enter "*. RAR "or other file extensions (3), WinRAR will help you automatically select all the rarfiles in the current folder. However, this method is accumulative, that is, we perform the above operations multiple times, you can select multiple formats of files at the same time. If you want to cancel the selection of a file of a certain format, select "file → undo select a group" (or press the-number on the keyboard), and then enter the file name, you can unselect this type of file from the selected file.
Ii. Batch Delete useless files in a compressed package
I have a dedicated storageArticleFiles of various periods and categories are stored. After WinRAR is used for compression, the compressed package is amazing. After careful observation, I think it is possible to delete the TIF and BMP image files that occupy the main volume, but only keep the files in it. Obviously, because there are a lot of folders and layers, if one file is deleted, the workload will be astonishing, and the main challenge of batch is that the image files are distributed in different folders in the compressed package, if they can be displayed at the same time, the operation will be much more convenient.
Step 1: Clear all files
Double-click the compressed package and select "option> file list> flat folder View" in the window (or press the shortcut key: Ctrl + H ). All files in the compressed package are displayed in the window.
Step 2: Quickly select the desired file
Click "File> select a group" and enter *. tif. Then, enter *. BMP to select all TIF and BMP files. Click the "delete" button on the WinRAR toolbar. After a while, these files will be deleted from the package.
3. Batch weight loss for compressed packages
If you often need to delete files in a compressed package in batches, the above method still seems to be a little inadequate. Here we recommend another more efficient method-the command line method.
Step 1: Create a batch file
Create a clean. BAT file and enter the following content:
For/R % v in (*. rar) Do WinRAR d % v *. tif *. BMP-r-ibck
Step 2: Copy necessary files
Copy all files to the folder (If Windows 2000 is used, copy them to c: \ WINNT ).
Step 3: Execute the batch processing file
Copy the clean. BAT file to the RAR folder to be sorted. Double-click the BAT file to delete all TIF and BMP images in the compressed package in batches.
Tips
Enter "for/R % v in (*. RAR) Do WinRAR d % v *. TIF *. BMP *. TMP *. bak-r-ibck can also delete TMP and BAK files from the RAR package, sort out the compressed package, and reduce the weight for the compressed package.
4. Batch Extract files from the compressed package
This is also the compressed file above. I want to extract all the text files separately. After selecting and unzipping all the file files according to the above method, there is a problem-these files also bring the original path information during decompression, each file is stored in the folders to which it belongs. In this way, if you want to browse these files, you have to switch between Multiple folders, which is very inconvenient. In fact, select all text files and click "decompress to" in the toolbar. In the "decompress path and options" window that appears, switch to the "advanced" tab, select "do not understand the pressure path name" (4) and click OK. All files are extracted to the same target file.
Of course, we can also select all TXT files in WinRAR, and then drag and drop the files directly to the "Resource Manager" folder, so that the extracted files do not contain the path.
TIPS: batch processing is more convenient
Create an exttxt. BAT file and enter the following content:
For/R % v in (*. rar) Do WinRAR E % v *. txt-R
Copy it to a folder and double-click the BAT file to decompress all TXT files in all RAR packages in the folder to the current folder.
5. Automatic batch comment
How can I add comments to each compressed package? Click "Options> Settings", switch to the "compression options" tab, and click "create default configuration. In the "add comments" tab in the "Set Default compression options" window that appears, enter the comments (5). After confirmation, the comments will be automatically added each time the file is compressed, no manual operation is required.
6. create self-decompressed files in batches
In WinRAR, select multiple files through the following method, click "Tools> convert file to Auto Release format", and select the auto release format module in window 6, click OK.
Tips
Click "advanced auto release options" to set more settings for the Auto Release file.
VII. Batch repair of compressed files
Select multiple compressed files that may have problems, click "Tools> repair file", and after 7 sets the storage location of the repaired files, all the selected packages are automatically repaired to the specified folder.
