When reloading the system, we often think of the first is PE, if it is installed on the hard disk that is more convenient. But many people do not have the habit of installing PE to the hard disk, it is too late to regret it when it comes to the RE system. So how to put PE on the hard disk? Let's introduce you to the specific method.
As a maintenance system, we naturally hope that the more powerful the PE function, the better. For those computers that have been unable to access the system, we first need to download PE on other normal computers. First download a PE on the internet.
1, prepare a U disk. Copy the required file Edit.com and NIC driver to the flash stub directory. For example, here is a 8169 network card, you can create a new one in Flash, named 8169 directory, the driver file all copied to the directory. The PE you download to is an ISO image, and after you open the mirror using UltraISO, copy all the files to U:pe (U refers to the flash drive).
2, on the failure of the computer to boot to the DOS, enter the following command, the PE required files copied to C:.
CD A:pe
Copy *.* C:
When the ScreenTip system already exists NTLDR, Ntdetect.com, Boot.ini files, select No and do not overwrite these three system files.
Note: The "a" in the above command refers to the flash drive after booting to DOS, C: The system disk for the original system. If you are making an HDD mode boot flash, the flash drive may be c: At this point the system disk letter of the original system is changed to D: If the system disk is in NTFS format, use Ntfsdos to copy the file.
3, in DOS continue to enter the following command to edit Boot.ini, add the PE boot entry:
Attrib–s–h–r C:boot.ini Suppress hidden, system, read-only properties of Boot.ini
Edit C:boot.ini
After opening the Boot.ini, add "c:avldr.xpe=" to the text at the end of "Windows PE" and save it so that the computer can be restarted to boot to PE.
