SharePoint uses BCS to develop your first application (1) This Series teaches you how to use business connectivity Service (BCS) to create an office business application (Oba ).
It consists of five steps, from Data Source Creation to Agent deployment to client. Here, if you want to create an Oba that can span servers and clients. If you point to the Oba to be created on the server, stop in step 3. These steps are also complex. For example, a simple example is to create a web service connection to the lob (line of business) system, and use SharePoint designer to create an external content type and list. More complex, you can create Business Objects in SAP, create Web Service wrapper, use vs to generate BCS solutions, and then copy external content types for the clientword plug-in. Both examples comply with the Oba definition. The rest of this series will show you how to use BCS to create your OBA in these 5 steps.
