unset directive: Delete the specified shell variable or function

"Syntax" unset [-fv][variable or function name]

"Feature description" the directive functions primarily to delete the specified shell variables and functions.

"Parameter description"

Number of arguments	Energy
-F	Just delete the function
-V	Just delete the variable
[Variable or function name]	Shell variables or functions that will be deleted

"Experience tricks" the directive cannot remove shell variables and environment variables that have read-only properties.

Example 5-8 uses the instruction "unset" to delete the previously created environment variable "mylove" and its corresponding value, entering the following command:
