vcenter is required for SQL Server database support, where we use the SQL Server Express database that comes with vcenter directly. The Express database does not support more than 5 consoles.

Vi. Configuring Vcenter

After the vcenter installation is complete, we can connect to vcenter on any machine with vsphere installed as follows:

If you want to use SQL Server authentication, we need to first modify the SA user's password, or create a user, and then authorize it on the line.

Here we use the SA user directly and modify the SA user password. vcenter default when installing SQL Server Express Database, the SA user's password We do not know, so to modify the SA user's password. As follows:

After the SA user password has been modified, we also need to modify the registry key values before it can be completed.

On my test machine The key value is: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL server\mssql10_50.vim_sqlexp\mssqlserver\ LoginMode

1 means using Windows authentication

2 means using a hybrid authentication method

Now we just need to change the LoginMode key value to 2 and then restart the SQL Server service to log in to the database using the SA account.
