I downloaded a terrain editor from a foreigner and found that its rampbrush is very useful, so I also implemented it in my own editor. When using rampbrush, use the mouse to pick up two points on the terrain as the two ends of the brush, and set the width and intensity of the brush. The length of the brush is determined by the two points picked up. In the area covered by the brush, the desired height (a slope defined by the brush) is obtained by the difference between the two ends of the brush along the length of the brush ), then a mixture ratio is calculated based on the intensity and Gaussian distribution of the brush. The difference between the ground height and the expected height is calculated based on the mixture ratio, in this way, the height of the area covered by the brush approaches the slope direction defined by the brush.
The following are some of the effects that can be achieved by this tool. These effects are hard to be achieved using a general circular brush, and the workload is relatively large. Of course, to achieve good results, you must use other editing methods to deal with the details after using the slope brush.
