This book has been used by more than 700 American universities and colleges in psychology courses. It is the leading teaching material in this field and has become the standard for evaluating other teaching materials.

This book combines Basic Research and Practice perfectly, and uses a logical organizational structure to help students understand how people think, influence others, and establish relationships with others. It is the best guiding book for people to understand themselves, understand society, and understand the relationship between themselves and society.

Book Structure

This book begins with a separate chapter to introduce the research methods of social psychology. This chapter then instructs students on how to make the research results visible (once you understand them) and how social psychology can penetrate their values into the subject field. In addition, this book adds a part of "some important ideas in Social Psychology", which introduces some exciting topics: how can we build social reality, social intuition, social impact, personal attitudes and disposition, physiological behaviors, and their applications in daily life. This arrangement aims to give students sufficient knowledge preparation before learning the subsequent chapters.

The subsequent sections of this book will focus on the definition of social psychology: social psychology is the way people think (Part 1), social impact (Part 2), and interpersonal relationship (part 3) and scientific research on the application of social psychology principles in Daily Life (part 4.

Part 1 explores social thinking-how we view ourselves and others. It can evaluate the accuracy of our impressions, intuition, and interpretation.

Part 2 explores social impact. By understanding the cultural factors of attitudes and learning the essence of herd, persuasion, and group influence, we can better recognize the subtle social forces that affect us.

Part 3 attitudes and behavioral manifestations of negative and positive social relationships: from prejudice to attacks, from attraction to mutual assistance. This part will also discuss the dynamics of conflicts and reconciliation.

Part 4 analyzes how to apply the concepts we learned in the previous chapter to social life. The Application of Social Psychology runs through various chapters of the book, but it is mainly concentrated in Chapter 14th (application of social psychology in the clinical field) and Chapter 15th (Application of Psychology in the judicial field ), and Chapter 2 (Social Psychology and the future of sustainable development ).

I have always believed in the famous saying "everything that exists can be easily and naturally expressed in plain language, in order to publish a book that is as attractive as possible and impressive as possible.
