MakeProgramLater, many authors were accustomed to using professional software to add an installation package for the program. In fact, Microsoft's 2000 and XP systems already come with a small Installation Software, iexpress, which is only small kb and stored in/Windows/system32. Because it is a program provided by Microsoft, the installation software has better compatibility. Next, I will briefly introduce how to use the software, and hope to use this software to create a professional installation package.
Iexpress is easy to use. You only need to enter iexpress in the running process. Although iexpress is an English software, the production and installation package adopts a wizard, which is not difficult to operate. There are two options at the beginning: one is to create a new self-extracting guide file, and the other is to open the saved self-extracting guide file. Here we select the first one, and then click Next. Next, choose the three methods to make the installation package, namely decompress, run, and install the package, extract, install, and compress the package only, and choose according to your actual situation. Enter the name of the software to be installed. The name can be in English or Chinese characters. The following sets whether to prompt the user for confirmation before installing the software. Generally, no prompt is selected.
Next, add "User permit protocol". Any precautions and requirements for the software during use can be written into "User permit protocol, the installation can continue normally only when the user agrees to the preceding conditions. Next, add the software to be installed, create a file list, and specify the program and the corresponding commands that run during the installation. Next, select the display mode of the software during installation, which is default, hidden, maximum, and minimum.
After the software installation is complete, the system prompts whether to display the prompt statement. Here, I suggest you select display. After all the settings are complete, set the storage location and name of the Self-extracting guide file. It contains information about the software installation process. We recommend that you save the information for future modification. Set whether to restart after the software is installed. If there are no special circumstances, do not restart the computer.
After the installation is complete, the software installation package is created in DOS.
