Problem features:
In the delete SDE feature and raster dataset, the following information is displayed:
Failed to delete selected objects (s)
Lock request conflicts with an established lock
[Locked by Database User: 'username' on machine: 'machinename']
Cause:
After the connection is established between the ArcSDE service and the client, the client is suddenly disconnected due to unexpected circumstances such as crashes. However, the ArcSDE service retains the TCP connection and information with the client.
Solution:
(1) Delete the records in the tables_lock table in the SDE space and delete from SDE. table_locks
If not, delete the record in the objects_lock table.
(2) Use the sdemon command for maintenance
A. directly operate on the machine on which the ArcSDE service is installed
Sdemon-O Info-I users can see the connection information of your machine name and user, and a PID Number at the beginning, this PID Number allows you to delete a single connection and delete all connections.
The sdemon-o kill-t all command can be used to delete all service connections.
Sdemon-o kill-T is to specify the PID Number shown above
B. operate on the client
After the preceding command, the ArcSDE service is added with the port number and the name of the server where the ArcSDE is located. For example, the default port number is 5151, and the server name is server.
Sdemon-o kill-t all-I port: 5151-S server
(3) restart the server where the SDE is located
