Solution for error when Grant: Access denied for user ' root ' @ ' localhost ' (using Password:yes)

Mysql> Grant All on * * to ' root ' @ ' 192.168.1.1 ' identified by ' password ';

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user ' root ' @ ' localhost ' (using Password:yes)

Confirmation method (see if Grant all is not a privilege):

Mysql>show GRANTS for ' root ' @ ' localhost ';
+---------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Grants [email protected] |
+---------------------------------------------------------------------+
| Grantallprivileges on*.*to ' root ' @ ' localhost ' withgrantoption

Workaround: run the Mysql_upgrade under bin and restart the database.

(It's a good idea to back up the original database before running)
