Recently I found that the svn icon is not displayed for any reason, and other operations are normal. I searched some methods online.
Solution 1 (failed ):
Upgrade to the latest version.
Solution 2 (failed ):
Right-click tortoisesvn-> setting-> icon overlays-> Status cache-> default/shell. None is not displayed
Solution 3 (failed ):
Fix or uninstall and reinstall
Solution 4 (successful ):
Windows Explorer Shell supports a maximum of 15 overlay icons and four overlay icons are used by windows. Therefore, only 11 overlay icons are left for use. If you have installed software such as groove before, we may have fewer options to use and less to use tortoise. In this case, we can adjust the alphabetic order of tortoise icon names to improve tortoise priority, because in windows, the installation name is displayed in alphabetical order. In the running process, enter Regedit to go to the registry page. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> Software-> Microsoft-> Windows-> CurrentVersion-> Explorer-> shelliconoverlayidentifiers, and the tortoise series (1 tortoisenormal, 2 tortoiseadded, etc.) There are many items in front. The tortoise series ranked 15, so it is no wonder it is not displayed. Now the task is to put them above, just change their names (I think the first prefix is space, it indicates that the characters of the space are sorted in front, I added a few spaces). I changed the name (such as tortoisenormal and tortoiseadded), closed it, opened the registry, and found tortoise login, in file-> new task-> input explorer, of course, you can restart the computer, but Sb is good), So OK, the cute SVN icon appears again.
Summary:
The reason may be that I have installed a lot of synchronous network disks (such as Kingsoft, kubernetes, everbox, Baidu, and Dropbox) that occupy 15 overlay icons, no wonder the status icons of the synchronized online storage are not displayed. However, the svn icon is displayed, but the icons of other software are certainly not displayed.
