The icon that shows the status of the network, called: Network-manager. if it is a wired network connection, it is the top and bottom two arrows, if it is a wireless network, it is a transmission signal shape.
sudo gedit/etc/networkmanager/nm-system-settings.conf
change False to True to save exit
sudo service Network-manager restart
At this point, the network icon is still not displayed, but you can surf the Internet:Wireless Internet access is set up as follows:
Ifconfig
Locate the wireless information wlan1.
sudo ifconfig wlan1 up
The IPC automatically finds the previous network and links it.in order to restore the icon:
Open the terminal and enter the following in turn:
Gconftool--recursive-unset/apps/panel
RM-RF ~/.gconf/apps/panel
Pkill Gnome-panel
At this point, the icon reverts to the original layout.
