Solutions for plot errors using octave on Mac

When using octave on mac10.10, the following error occurs when typing plot (x, y):

Set " Figure 1 " " *,6 " 1 ^0'set terminal' for a list

At this point you can add this command before each run of the plot:

Setenv ("gnuterm","qt")

If you don't want to be so troublesome, then make the following command:

Vim ~/.octaverc

Then add the following command to the file:

Setenv ("gnuterm","qt")

If the above operation is still not working, then the octave comes with the Gunplot does not work, then run the following operation:

--with-x
