1. Preface
Many years ago, I learned from university teachers and classmates that there was a very powerful free anti-virus software named avast. I have been using this software since avast4. For a period of timeProgramVersion updates are slow and avast4 is always used.
2. Software Use experience
Later, we finally waited for avast5, So we immediately upgraded to experience more powerful features.
After that, the software program update speed has been improved, from avast5 to avast6, to avast7, and several versions have been updated in a year or two, which has never occurred before.
After upgrading to avast5, in addition to functional improvements, the program did not feel that the program occupied more system resources, and the impact on the boot speed seemed to be the same as that of avast4.
However, since the upgrade to avast6, it seems that the software has occupied a lot of system resources, resulting in a boot speed of more than 10 seconds, and even often the system cannot automatically identify the network after the boot, simply put, you cannot access the Internet. In addition, after the system is started, the system will be stuck there, and the right-click or win key will not work. After the system enters the system desktop, the system will be stuck.
Happy to wait for avast7, hope it can improve, unfortunately, you know. After avast7 is installed, the phenomenon is basically the same as that of avast6. In addition, I found that this phenomenon exists in both Windows 7 and XP operating systems.
Isn't the author's Pentium T series dual-core CPU unable to keep up with the trend of the times? Is it the author's 2 GB memory?
It may not be as bad as you think.
3. Software settings change
Collect online information about slow system caused by avast for testing.
Several groups of data are provided for reference:
(1) Before avast7 is installed, the boot time is about 45 seconds;
(2) After avast7 is installed, keep the default software setting. The boot time is about 60 seconds.
(3) After avast7 is installed, change the settings. The boot time is 47 seconds.
The specific settings are as follows:
(1) settings-> troubleshooting-> load avast only after loading other services! Service;
(2) Open the avast interface, click set in the upper right corner -- Status Bar -- cancel the option of behavior protection -- OK;
(3) Real-time protection on the main interface-behavior protection-stop-choose to stop permanently;
(4) avast main interface-Real-time protection-File System Protection-expert settings-advanced-cancel temporary cache-OK;
