Solve the refusing to run with writable root inside chroot error of vsftpd

Source: Internet
Author: User

Refer to the http://www.cnblogs.com/CSGrandeur/p/3754126.html in Ubuntu with vsftpd to configure the FTP server, After configuring the "sudo chmod A-W/home/ftp" sentence found that the root directory cannot upload files.

Configure the root directory to write and report the refusing to run with writable root inside chroot error.

The reason found here in the http://eamin.net/vsftpd-500-oops/ is that "the user's root directory is writable and uses the chroot restriction, which is not allowed in recent updates ."

Later, we still set the root directory to "sudo chmod A-W/home/ftp", and add a sub-folder with all permissions under the root directory, such as data, upload the file to the data folder to solve the problem.
