SQL datename \ datepart returns a string that indicates the specified datepart of the specified date.

Datepart

Is an expression that can be parsedTime,Date,Smalldatetime,Datetime,Datetime2OrDatetimeoffsetValue. Date can be an expression, column expression, user-defined variable, or string text.

2. When datename and datepart are used to set datepart to weekday, they are displayed differently. And it depends on the day of the week.

The running result is as follows:

 

Above, I set Monday as the first day of a week. Therefore, 3 in datepart corresponds to 3 in Wednesday.
