Failure Condition:
Step 1: For the 32-bit platform, download and install the 32-bit version of Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0. For 64-bit platforms (x64 and EMT64 only), download and install the 64-bit version of Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0.
Note: If you have installed SQL Server 2005 or Visual Studio 2005, you should have installed Microsoft. NET Framework 2.0.
Step 2: Download and install Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0.
NOTE: If SQL Server 2005 is installed, MSXML 6.0 should already be installed.

Step 3: Download SSMSE by clicking the Sqlserver2005_ssmsee.msi link at the back of this page. To start the installation immediately, click Run. To install SSMSE at a later time, click Save.
