I learned the famous six HATs thinking method today and thought it was very practical. The following is a summary:

White hat: materials and information

Red Hat: Intuition and feelings

Black hat: logic and Criticism

Yellow Hat: positive and optimistic

Green Hat: Innovation and adventure

3 white hat: White is neutral and objective. White hat thinking represents objective facts and numbers

Principles of white hat thinking

You cannot increase the level of a fact unless you have the ability to verify it. When using white hat thinking, your attitude must be neutral.

The use of white hat should become a habit. Prevent excessive use of white hat.

Red Hat: red indicates emotional characteristics such as anger and violence. Red Hat thinking indicates emotional feelings, intuition, and hunch.

Red Hat allows people to put their feelings and instincts in, without apologizing, explaining, or trying to justify their actions.

The purpose of thinking is to acknowledge that emotion is part of thinking. Display the background emotion to observe the potential impact.

It can vent your emotions. Intuition and precognition.

The use principles of Red Hat thinking correctly understand and use intuition and emotion. Do not prove or explain your feelings. Recognize your precognition, but not your precognition.

Avoid debate. The answer must be answered within 30 seconds to avoid excessive use of the red hat.

 

Black hat thinking: Black is gloomy and negative. Black hat thinking considers the negative factors of things. It is a logical judgment and evaluation of the negative factors of things.

Usage of Black Hat: Challenges facts and data, and points out that it is not in line with experience. Reasonably puts forward your personal experience to point out future dangers and possible problems.
