Two methods are generally used to connect a PC to a projector: Dual-graphics card or video distributor.

Dual-graphics cards are used, that is, two graphics cards are inserted in one PC at the same time. One video card is connected to the monitor, and the other video card is connected to the projector; the video distributor is used to divide a single video input signal into multiple channels and output the same video signal.

Most laptops have designed RGB interfaces for external display or projector.

Method 1: Enable BIOS settings when the computer is started in bios, and set the display attribute of the notebook to both.

Method 2: You can set the dual-Screen Display Mode in the display attribute in two modes: image mode and extended mode.

When using the image mode, the laptop LCD and projector screen are displayed exactly the same. In the extended mode, the projector display is an extension of the main monitor (laptop LCD. When setting the dual screen, you must first connect the projector or other display devices. Otherwise, the settings will not be correct. In the displayed Properties dialog box, select multiple monitors, that is, the notebook + projector.

Method 3: The function key FN is short for function. Almost all laptops have a FN key. Its function is to form a combination key with other keys, enables hardware adjustment and switching. Another key is needed here. The keyboard button has a notebook screen button on it. Most laptops use f8. use FN + F8 to switch between them.

You need to switch multiple times. Generally:

The first switch is displayed on the projector but not on the computer;
The second switch is displayed;
For the third switch, the projector is not displayed, and the computer is displayed.

② Resolution and refresh frequency

The resolution and refresh rate of the notebook determine whether the resolution and refresh rate set by the video card are within the acceptance range of the projector. If you do not know whether the range can be lowered, for example, 1024*768-75Hz.

① Solution to video playback failure

Symptoms: the laptop is a Windows system. When you connect to the projector and play a video file with WMP, realpaler, and Kingsoft video overlord, the notebook will be normally displayed, but when it is projected, the video box will be black, no image.

Cause: the display property does not match the projector performance.

Solution 1: Modify: Display Properties-settings-advanced-performance-hardware acceleration

By downgrading the hardware acceleration, you can easily solve the problem of video playback on the TV back projection and projector.

Solution 2: simply modify the software used to play the video file to easily solve the problem of abnormal playback of the video file on the TV back projection and projector. The solution is as follows:

1: RealOne Player

Click the "tools/Preferences" menu to go to the "Preferences" Setting dialog box, and select "hardware" in the "category" column, enable full-screen video control in the "playback performance" column, and drag the slider in the "video card compatibility" column to the leftmost "most reliable" area.

2: Windows Media Player

Click the "tools/options" menu to go to the "options" Setting dialog box, select the "performance" item, and drag the slider to the center in the "video acceleration" column below. The specific settings are as follows:

② The projector display resolution is incorrect

Symptoms: 1. The screen image is not completely displayed, either up or down, or left or right. It is not displayed in some places;
2. The progress bar and startup screen will not be displayed later.

Solution: Modify the notebook resolution, for example, to 800*600 or lower. Do not use the wide screen resolution.

③ The projector cannot be displayed or is not displayed completely

Symptoms: When the projector's power connection line and data signal line are properly connected, the projector's light bulb and cooling fan work normally, but no computer screen is projected. Or sometimes the projection screen is not completely displayed.

Cause: Because the projector's light bulb and cooling fan can operate normally, the possibility of projector failure is ruled out, and the computer can also be used normally, so the possibility of computer failure is also ruled out. The problem may be caused by the signal connection line or the projector and computer settings.
Solution: Most projector users use a laptop to connect to the projector. Therefore, the projection failure may be caused by the inactive external video port of the notebook. Press and hold the FN key of the notebook, at the same time, press the corresponding function key marked as LCD/CRT or display icon, such as F7 to switch. When the display fails after the switch, it may be because the computer input resolution is faulty. In this case, you only need to adjust the display resolution and refresh rate of the computer to the range allowed by the projector, you also need to pay attention to the projector image aspect ratio settings.

Note: Sometimes, although the projection screen can be displayed, it only displays some images on the computer. This may be caused by the high output resolution of the computer. You can properly reduce the resolution of the computer and then perform projection.
