1. Build the development environment:
1. Embedded Visual C ++ 4.0 (serial number: TRT7H-KD36T-FRH8D-6QH8P-VFJHQ)
2. Embedded Visual C + + 4.0 SP4
3. SDK for Windows Mobile 2003-based ppc2003se
4. localized emulation images for Windows Mobile? 2003-based ppc2003se
Install the SDK in accordance with steps 1-4. There is nothing to set and the installation is relatively simple.
If necessary, install the following tools:
1. ActiveSync
2. emuasconfig. MSI (supported by. NET Framework is required. If. NET development is not required, install. NET Framework in the system)
3. windowsmobilepowertoys. MSI (do not forget ActiveSync remote display. It can display the screens of real devices on the desktop and perform limited operations)

Note:
(1). localized emulation images for Windows Mobile? 2003-based ppc2003se. Program It should be ppc2003se 2003 SDK Chinese Simplified emulation images. MSI. It enables your simulator to display Chinese characters. After installation, you need to make some settings in the EVC environment so that your development environment can call a simulator image that supports Chinese characters. The procedure is as follows:
1) Open tools in the EVC environment-> Configure platform manager... and select ppc2003se in the Treeview (if you have correctly installed the SDK for Windows Mobile? 2003-based ppc2003se ),
2) Click Add device and enter the device name, for example, "chs_smartphone 2003 emulator ".
3 ). click properties... enter the device Properties dialog box, select TCP/IP transport for Windows CE in the transport column, and select emulator startup server (default option) in the startup column ),
4 ). click Configure on the right of the startup column... click to enter the emulator Configuration Settings dialog box. In the device-> image column, select CHS ppc2003se (virtual radio). If other settings are left by default, select OK and return to the device properties page, select Test to test whether your settings work normally. After correct settings, you can select a simulator that supports Chinese characters in the wce configuration bar of the EVC environment;

(2) The emuasconfig. MSI program is used to connect ActiveSync to the simulator.
Run emuas.exe. (If you have Visual Studio. NET 2003, you can find it in the Tools menu of the development environment, connect emulator with ActiveSync), select the target simulator, and click Connect ). If you are lucky, ActiveSync will respond, starting the simulator is like connecting to a real device. The biggest public utility of this tool is that you can access the simulator directory structure on my computer> mobile devices. From then on, you can use your simulator and copy files like real devices, install and delete programs, etc;

2. Use the serial port on the PC in the simulator
To use ActiveSync, emuasconfig. MSI did not try it, because serial communication is not used, as long as the network can be used;

Iii. Use of several common tools
1. Remote File Viewer
When we need to put some files into the PDA, because we have actual equipment, it is natural to connect the PDA with the PC and then transfer the file. Now, we need to put the files on the PC to the simulator. What should we do? Because the simulator is also placed on the PC, someone thought of this method: directly put the file on the installation directory of the simulator. In fact, this is not acceptable. here we need to use a tool Remote File Viewer, which is under evc4 tools. After running, open it to the place where you want to place the file, and click the export file button, which is the up arrow, then you can select the file on the PC to export to the simulator. Of course, the opposite process is to select a file in the simulator and click the down arrow to import the file. It should be noted that when you turn on the emulator, it will be treated as an actual device connected by a wire outside your PC. When you close it, just as it unconnects the wire from your PC and does not exist any more. Do not try to find its shadow on the hard disk.

2. Remote Process Viewer
You can see what the name is. In standardsdk emulator, I used to open the task manager to check which processes are running. The result shows that the function is very simple. I can only view the page equivalent to the application on a PC, but not the process. Remote process viewer can see a considerable amount of information

3. Remote Registry Viewer
View the Registry tool. You can no longer enjoy Regedit convenience under CE. You can view the registry using two methods, the other method is to use the remote registry viewer of EVC;

4. Use the PC network in the simulator
When WebService is used, you need to access the services on the network in the simulator through some settings. You can use ActiveSync, but I have not tried it .... Another simple method is used. The English version is not much different from the Chinese version, but it is just a little different.
In the English version simulator, click the network connection prompt icon (the middle part at the top) on the interface, click setting in the pop-up prompt box, and then select the bottom advanced, on the page that appears, select networkcard-> select the internet in the drop-down list box, and select asyncmac ndiswan miniport-> select use specific IP address and enter an IP address, I tried it, as if I could lose one at a time, and then, click OK, click OK again, and click OK again, the last OK, -> now you can access the network like using IE on a PC (note that this access method requires the network adapter to be active, that is, the local connection cannot be disconnected. Even accessing services on the local PC is the same, as long as it is active, the Chinese version is the same, A virtual network card can be installed without a network. The driver can be mounted to or downloaded from Microsoft. The downloaded file is netsvwrap. MSI)
In the Chinese version, start-> Settings-> connection-> Nic. You can find the same interface as the settings in the English version.
