In the Supermap GIS desktop product, only one workspace can exist at any time, so multiple workspaces cannot be opened at the same time. Generally, a workspace stores a task of daily work.

 

Open a workspace

Four methods:

• Quick Start wizard-open an existing workspace;
• Choose File> open workspace ...";
• Click the drop-down button of the Open button in the Standard toolbar and select "open workspace ";
• In the Workspace Manager (or workspace management window), right-click the workspace name and choose open workspace ...".

If an unsaved workspace already exists, a message box is displayed asking whether to save the original workspace. You can open the workspace only after the original workspace is closed. A workspace file can be opened in read-only mode. data sets and data sources stored in a workspace that are opened in read-only mode can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.

Save a workspace

Three methods:

• Choose File> Save workspace ";
• Click Save in the Standard toolbar;
• In the Workspace Manager (or workspace management window), right-click the workspace name and choose Save workspace ".

For a saved workspace, you can save it in another path. There are two ways to do this:

• Choose File> Save workspace ...";

Close a workspace

There are two ways to do this:

• Choose File> close workspace ";
• In the Workspace Manager window, right-click a workspace name and choose Close workspace from the shortcut menu ".

If the current workspace is not saved, a message box is displayed, prompting whether to save the workspace. After saving the space, close the current workspace. If the current workspace has been saved, close it directly. When the current workspace is closed, the system saves the current user's work environment. When the workspace is opened again, the Work Environment saved when the current workspace is closed appears.
