Prepare the software and we will start to use ghost. But before using ghost, let's talk about some precautions in order to make it convenient and convenient, and avoid unexpected events.

1. Back up your software and files. For details about how to back up important files, refer to the several things that must be done before reinstalling the system.

2. Use ghost in a clean system environment. Clean as few junk files as possible and there is no poisoned system. Why? Reducing garbage not only reduces the time required for backing up the system, but also saves the time required for restoring the system in the future. Reducing garbage makes sure that a lean system is needed. As we have said before, you can look at the manual cleaning system here. If the system is poisoned, I cannot make sure that it is clear to myself. In view of the two, I suggest you back up the ghost immediately after the newly installed operating system (including the driver, but not any software. However, even the newly installed systems need to clean up the garbage. The newly installed systems generally do not have viruses, and there is a small amount of garbage, but it cannot be guaranteed to be small, especially those so-called installed ghost versions, other bundled software is installed, so you should clean it up.

3. You must scan the C drive before using the ghost. Why? It mainly repairs and corrects disk errors, which greatly reduces the chance of errors when using ghost. Therefore, disk scanning is required. This is not mentioned in many ghost tutorials. To scan a disk, right-click disk C and select "Start Check" under the "properties"-"Tools" tab ". If it cannot be completed, or if there are other problems, we can manually operate it. You can refer to the previous article disk detection command chkdsk.

With the ghost software, we also made full preparations. Next we will go to the Ghost Software for operations. But the problem is how to enter the ghost. There are two cases: if you use one-click to restore the ghost, you can directly click the operation under the window to automatically create a boot program to enter the ghost, which is very simple, as long as we can see whether it is "backup" or "Restore.

The following describes the operations in the DOS environment of ghost. Most of the installed ghostversion XP systems downloaded from the Internet are attached with the ghost software, or we use the old peach winpe for a USB flash drive.

Set the boot sequence or press a function key (for example, F12 selects the boot device), enter the winpe of the CD or USB flash drive, and select ghost (ghost11.02 is the most popular version currently ).

Next we will operate on the ghost interface. Backup (Save the clean state of the system) or restore (Restore when the system encounters a virus or fault) operations are different, but many are similar. Let's look down. The keyboard used to operate the ghost software is the up and down arrow, Tab key, and enter key. We do not recommend that you use the mouse, so it is easy to make a mistake.

First, let's talk about ghost backup.. We use the up, down, and left arrows on the keyboard to select the backup menu: local-partion-to image.

In, to image is used for backup, and from image is used for recovery (the premise is that you already have a ghost backup)

This figure shows how to select a hard disk. Generally, we have one disk, so I have no choice. Just press enter and OK. If there are multiple disks, especially when using a USB flash drive for winpe running, you must distinguish between values based on the size.

Select the partition to be backed up. In fact, the ghost software can back up any partition, but generally we mainly back up the system disk, that is, the C disk. Select the first option (but check the partition size to avoid hidden partitions) and press the tab key to switch the cursor to OK.

In the file name field, enter WINXP or c_xp as the backup image name and press tab to switch to save.

After several yes confirmations, we can see the figure above. We select fast (select the method or press the tab key) and press Enter. The three buttons are mainly used to determine the compression ratio. We choose fast, that is, moderate. No is not compressed. In the future, files will be relatively large, occupying space, and high indicates high compression. This will minimize the space, but the backup and recovery time is the longest. We can choose fast.

Is backing up. Wait until 100%, and the message "continue" or "Reset computer" will be displayed. Now, the backup operation is complete and you can restart the computer.

As in the previous article, the boot switch is still in the ghost software. It does not matter whether you use the cd pe or the USB flash drive winpe or the dwarf dos boot. After entering the Ghost Software, use the upper, lower, and lower keys on the keyboard to find the local-partion-from image. See:

When you click from image and switch back directly, we use the up and down arrows to select the location of the previously backed up file and find the backed up WINXP. in The gho or c_xp.gho file, press the tab key to switch to the Open button, and press the Enter key. There is a small problem here. Some people cannot see the gho file, so you can use the tab key to switch the cursor to the file position drop-down menu (black triangle ), find the hard disk partition (D, E, F, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4) that was backed up before, and then find the gho storage folder in the partition, such as gho and ghost.

Find the gho image file and select the hard disk. Because we only have one hard disk, press Enter. (Two lines will be displayed if two hard disks or USB flash drives exist)

Select the partition to be restored. Generally, we select the first system disk (if there is a hidden partition, be careful to see it: primary character ).

Is recovery required? I will give you a chance to regret it. If you really want to reply, yes. If you haven't thought about it yet, hurry up.

OK. After the ghost is restored, press enter to reset the computer (this word means restarting ).

Fifth, backup is generally only used once, and recovery can be used many times. But it will not be restored after the backup (isn't that nonsense? I am afraid that some friends will keep following this step and forget their actual needs ).

Sixth, when do we need to recover? When a problem occurs on your computer. For example, problems with the operating system, viruses, slow systems, and other problems that cannot be solved, you can use ghost to restore the clean and high-speed operating system status.

7. Can I back up my backup after installing common software? Otherwise, I need to install many software for each restoration? In fact, there is no need to install too much software, which will increase the size of the image file, not only occupying space, but also requiring too much time for backup and recovery. Secondly, many software is constantly updated, such software as office, Thunder, QQ, and WinRAR can be said to be the most commonly used, but we all know that they are constantly upgrading, so it is not difficult to install them after recovery, because even if you back them up, after recovery, many software still need to be upgraded and installed.

8. What should I do if I cannot move the cursor after entering the Ghost Software. Generally, the ghost mouse is prone to errors, causing other problems. Therefore, you 'd better use the up, down, and down arrow keys, Tab keys, and enter keys on the keyboard, find out how to be familiar with it.
