In ZBrush we often say that the Z-ball is zsphere, it is zbrush® software modeling a very important tool, let users use the topology to quickly build a basic model, and then plastic it into any shape, but all this is very simple, compared to the zbrush® This will take longer in any other three-dimensional application. The text widget gives you an overview of how to use Z-balls to create characters in zbrush®.
Select the z-ball icon in the Tools panel and drag a z-ball onto the canvas to enter edit mode.
Press X to activate the x-axis symmetry option, and you will notice that the center of the pointer turns green when the mouse pointer is over the axis of symmetry.
Now, we'll create the model's head and spine.
· Select the Draw icon to add the first Z-ball. Please note that the new Z-ball must be built on the symmetrical axis of the first Z-ball.
· Enter Move mode (press the W key) to move it to the slightly upper position of the original Z-ball.
· Enter draw mode and add 2 more Z-balls in the same way. To change the shape, you can use the move, rotate, and indent tools to manipulate each Z-ball individually, or select the connection between the 2 Z-balls, and change all sub-level Z-spheres below the previous Z-ball.
To delete a Z-ball, hold down the ALT key and click on the Z-ball.
Now you can add arms and legs to your model. The final model skeleton is shown.
You can toggle between the Z-ball and polygon model display by tapping the preview button under the Tool:adaptive skin panel, or by pressing the shortcut A.
Click the Draw Polyframe button on the right side of the canvas or press the shortcut key shift+f to open or hide the wireframe display.
