In Windows, when setting environment variables, you will see that there are 2 types of user variables and system variables

So what's the difference?

User variables: Valid only for the current user

System variables: Valid for the entire operating system

In order to ensure that their own changes are not affected by others, then the general use of user variables

For the current user, the set user variable is roughly the same as the system variable, except that the path to the system variable precedes the user variable. One possible scenario is if the path system variable contains Java commands, and the path user variable contains Java commands, then the Java commands in the system variables are executed first.
