Inserting page numbers in a Word document is extremely easy, as long as you set it up by using the Header Footer dialog box. In practice, we set the page number because there are a lot of documents, but usually the first page is the cover, we do not need page numbers, we have to delete page numbers.
Open Word 2007 and toggle the tab to insert. Office 2007 is worthy of the most gorgeous office software so far, Word 2007 is the insertion of the "footer" simple function is also extremely luxurious, the system has a total of 24 sets of templates for selection. Click on the "Footer", the system will automatically display the built-in "footer" template preview, any choice required.

Now the "page number" is successfully inserted, the document Home page is marked 1, this result is not unexpected, next we will remove the page number. Do not close the Header and Footer tool (if you have closed, double-click the header, footer to open), in the "Options" check "Home page is different", you can see the page number is no longer there.
The setting is not finished, the first page number is deleted, but the page number on the second page of the Word document is still marked as 2, and we need it to be numbered 1, we need to make a change. Continue to stay in the header and Footer tool, click on "page number" and select "Format page number" in the following menu.
Enter the page Number Format dialog box, set page number, set the value of Start page number to 0, and click OK to complete.
The way to delete the first page number in a Word document is to set the start page number to 0 for page numbering, so the page number is inserted from the second page. Alternatively, it is OK to check the "page difference" option in the Header and Footer tool options.
