The first test result of the Wi-Fi substitution LiFi is released: 1 Gbps
Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a fast-paced wireless transmission of optical pulse information. As a future replacement of Wi-Fi signal transmission networks, Light Fidelity is in the process of rapid development. Velmenni's startup recently successfully deployed the Li-Fi technology in a small environment. Although it proved that the technology was not the first time, it was the first time to complete "real-life testing ". According to the demonstration data, the transmission speed is about 1 Gbps, which is 100 times the average WiFi transmission speed in the United States.
Herald Haas is a professor of physics and mobile communication at the University of Edinburgh, Germany. He first proposed the concept of Li-Fi in his speech at TEDGlobal 2011, later at the end of November 2015, he joined hands with Lucibel to create the pureLiFi group to "jointly develop and promote the first fully industrialized LiFi light source in the European market."
Deepak Solanki, CEO of Velmenni, told The Times: "We are working on a number of experimental projects to use visible light communication technology in different industries. Currently, we have designed an intelligent light solution for an industrial environment that can transmit data through light. We are still piloting a private customer to build a Li-Fi network in his office area ."
