Fault symptom:
The latest version of Windows 8 has built-in Flash plug-ins for both desktop and Metro style IE10. However, when we watch the video online using the IE10 browser, we prompt that the Flash player is not installed in IE10, and the Flash content on other websites cannot be opened, in IE10, Flash plug-ins are installed by default.
In this case, if you click download and install flash, the following error will be reported, because flash in WIN 8 is built-in and updated through system updates, and flash cannot be manually installed or updated.
Solution:
Method 1:
1. In this case, first check whether the Shockwave Flash Object add-on is enabled. If so, check whether the Active X Filter is enabled for IE10.
2. If Active X filtering is enabled, a blue forbidden icon is displayed on the right of the browser's address bar.
3. In this case, click the prohibit icon on the address bar and click the "disable Active X filter" button in the pop-up prompt box. In this way, the Active X filter for this website can be disabled separately.
4. If you want to disable Active X filtering on all websites, you only need to deselect the check box before Active X filtering in the security options of IE10.
Method 2:
1. Obtain the full control permissions of C: WindowsSystem32MacromedFlash and C: WindowsSysWOW64MacromedFlash on the faulty machine.
2. Copy files in C: WindowsSystem32MacromedFlash and C: WindowsSysWOW64MacromedFlash to the same directory of the faulty machine, or directly download the attachment and replace it. (It is best to replace it with PE)
3. Open the administrator command prompt and run regsvr32 Flash. ocx and WindowsSysWOW64MacromedFlash in the WindowsSystem32MacromedFlash directory in sequence to register Flash.
4. Register the flash. ocx files in the two directories in step 1. Restart the machine and enable IE10 again to play the flash Video normally.
