Many printing problems are caused by incorrect hardware settings. Here is information on how to insert the cable into the correct location and ensure that the printer is powered on.
Check that the cable is properly connected
Check to make sure that the printer's power cable is plugged into the power jack and that the printer cable is properly connected to the computer from the printer.

Please check the power supply
Check to make sure the printer power switch is turned on, or if you are printing by sharing a printer or a printer on the network, make sure that all required computers, routers, and printers are turned on. If the printer or other device is plugged into a surge protector or standby power supply, make sure that the hardware is also powered on and turned on.
2nd Step: Using troubleshooting
Troubleshooting is an automated tool that you can use to find and automatically fix some computer problems. The Printing troubleshooter resolves the problem of installing a printer, connecting to a printer, and the error with the print spooler (that is, software that temporarily stores the print job on your computer's hard disk).
Step 3rd: Update the driver
Most printers require driver software to work properly. Outdated, incompatible, or corrupted printer drivers may disrupt communication between your computer and your printer. If you recently upgraded from a version of Windows to another version, the current printer driver might only apply to previous versions of Windows. If you have recently experienced a power outage, virus, or other computer problem, the driver may be corrupted. You can solve such problems by downloading and installing the latest drivers for your printer
There are three ways to find and install a driver:
With Windows update. You may need to set Windows update to automatically download and install the recommended updates.
Install the software from the printer manufacturer. For example, if the printer comes with a disc, the disc may contain software for installing the printer driver.
Manually download and install the driver. You can search for drivers on the manufacturer's website. If the Windows update does not find a driver for your printer and the printer does not come with software for installing the driver, try this method.
