Win7 "Automatic Hop" Resolution:
Hop point: Route. A route is a hop. The transmission process needs to go through multiple networks, each passing network device point (capable of routing) is called a hop, the address is its IP. A metric is an accumulator that passes through many hops, in order to prevent unwanted packets from being dispersed online. Specifies the integer value (range 1 ~ 9999) of the desired metric for the route, which is used to select the route that most closely matches the destination address in the forwarding package in multiple routes in the routing table. The selected route has a minimum number of hops. The metric can reflect the number of hops, the speed of the path, path reliability, path throughput, and administrative properties.
Automatic hop function: This feature is configured with metric for each network interface in the network. This feature is ideal for situations where there are multiple network interfaces of the same speed, for example, when each network interface is assigned a default gateway. In this case, the user may need to manually configure the metric on a network interface, and then enable the automatic hop count feature to configure the metric on other network interfaces. Use this setting to control the network interfaces that are used first in IP traffic routing.
The steps for automatic hop modification are as follows:
1, into the related equipment network settings, and then enter the Internet TCP/IP property settings, and then enter the Advanced property settings, as shown in the figure above:
2, by default is checked "Automatic hop", do not select it, manual input "interface metric", the smaller number of input, the higher the priority, so you can manually control which route priority.
