Set the header and footer in a Word document. Generally, you can set the header and footer by using the "header and footer" command in the "View" menu. However, we often encounter some problems. For example, if you want to perform some complicated settings, you can't do anything in the "header and footer" toolbar. Next, let's take an advanced step.
1. Set the header and footer styles
In word2000, after you use the header and footer command to set the header, there is always a thin line under the header. If you are not satisfied with it, you can delete it or set it separately.
1. Select the "format/style" command to bring up the "style" dialog box.
First, make the "list" drop-down box "all styles", select "Header" in the "style" item, and then click "change. Click "format" and select the "border" command in the pop-up menu. The "border and shading" dialog box is displayed.
2. select the border tab. If you want to remove the line, select none in the settings. If you want to change it, you can also set it in the "line", "color", "width", and other items.
To set the footer style, you only need to go to the footer area and set it easily.
2. Set the partition page number
Sometimes we need to arrange documents in different columns. For example, if we print 8 exam papers in a school, the page is usually divided into two columns. Each column contains a page number and is set to "page X, A total of X pages. In this case, we can use the "= (formula)" field to set the page number of the partition. The method is:
1. Open the "header and footer" toolbar, switch to the footer area, enter the words "Page, total page" in the appropriate position in column 1st.
2. insert the cursor to the middle of the word "page" and press the "Ctrl + F9" shortcut twice to get a pair of curly braces "{{}}" that are included together. enter the domain code in brackets: "{= {page} * 2-1 }".
3. Insert the cursor to the middle of the word "total page", and insert the domain code "{= {numpages} * 2}" in the way of 2 }".
4. Write the domain code below Column 2nd in the form of "Page {= {page} * 2}, total page {= {numpages} * 2.
5. finally, press "Alt + F9", and under column 1st and Column 2nd, "page 1st, 2 pages in total" and "Page 2nd" appear respectively, 2 pages in total. The page number will be automatically updated as the document layout increases.
6. if the document is divided into three columns, change the formula in the middle of "page X" under column 1st to {= {page} * 3-2 }, column 2nd is set to {= {page} * 3-1}, and column 3rd is set to {= {page} * 3 }, change the formula in the middle of "total x pages" to {= {numpages} * 3.
3. Set the segment header and footer
In word, after you set the header and footer on the first page, the same header and footer will appear on all the pages in the future. However, some documents need to set different headers and footers on different pages. For example, in many books and magazines, different headers and footers are usually set based on different chapters and columns. How to set different headers and footers on different pages of word? You only need to subscribe the document.
How can we split the nodes? First, insert the cursor to the part of the document that needs to be segmented. Then open the "insert" menu and click the "separator" command. A "separator" dialog box is displayed. The "subscriber type" contains four types: ① "next page", ② "continuous", ③ "Even page", and ④ "Singular page ". "Next" indicates that the text after the delimiter starts from the new page; "continuous" indicates that the text after the delimiter appears on the same page; "Even page" indicates that the text after the delimiter starts from the next even page; "Singular page" indicates that the text after the delimiter starts from the next singular page. Select an item based on your orchestration needs and return it to the document by "OK. You can divide the document into multiple sections according to this method as needed.
Now you can set different headers and footers in different sections in the general way. Only starting from section 2, when you open the "header and footer" toolbar, the "same as the previous section" appears after "header-section 2nd, you must click the "Same as before" button on the toolbar to remove the words "the same as the previous section" and set the header. The subsequent header is different from the previous one. The footer settings are the same.
