Dreamweaver, as an excellent Visual Web Editing tool, provides us with a complete set of Visual Web production platform, so that your Web site development efficiency is greatly improved. Today we're going to talk about the application of the tag Selector, and you'll find yourself moving away from the boring code by Dreamweaver's built-in powerful tag library.
The most direct benefit of the tag selector is that we don't have to memorize the parameters defined by so many pure code, and others need to write a lot of code to achieve the effect that we can easily do through it.
Insert IFrame
The IFRAME framework, although not very friendly in browser compatibility, does have a wide range of applications. We can embed it in any part of the Web page, which is good for improving the flexibility of page layout. Of course, the code of the IFRAME related to the writing of a lot of people headaches, today we are through the Dreamweaver tag Selector to insert an IFRAME framework, do not require you to write a code of the method.
Click on the menu "insert" → "label" and go to "tag Selector". Mouse in the left label category list in order to select "Markup Language tag" → "html Tags" → "page elements" in the Right tab list, select "IFrame", click the "Insert" button to complete, as shown in Figure 1.
Figure 1
The system will automatically go to the "tag Editor", and then forget the annoying manual writing code, all you have to do is to fill in the required iframe parameters according to the prompts. If you are not very familiar with some of the options, you can click on the "tag Information" in the dialog box and the detailed labeling help should give you an authoritative explanation, as shown in Figure 2.

The advantage of being proficient with the "tag Editor" is that as long as the standard HTML tags are available, the program does not have all of the insert tags in a visual operation, but we can make up for it by using the tag checker described below.
Define horizontal lines quickly
Dreamweaver also provides a powerful tab parameter setting feature-the Tag Checker panel. Let's actually experience the usefulness of the label Checker, and we'll define the value of the horizontal line.
It is very easy to insert horizontal lines in Dreamweaver, but the default property settings provided by the software are limited, and even the color of the horizontal line cannot be set freely, do we need to add code manually?
Of course not so much trouble, mouse. Select a horizontal line in the edit area, open the Tag Inspector panel (shortcut F9 Call), and switch to the Properties tab. The Properties tab provides information similar to the property panel, but is much more powerful than it is.
The software provides basic definitions such as "General", "browser-specific", "css/accessibility", "unclassified." We choose a different page tag, and the parameters in "properties" are completely different, and are all defined parameters for each label.
In this example, a horizontal line is selected, and we can find the color parameter under browser-specific in properties, is this not a color setting? Oh, quickly set the desired color for the horizontal line with the built-in color selector, as shown in Figure 3.

We've talked about the label checker as a useful addition to the tag editor, such as the "marquee" tag we use to make scrolling subtitles, and we use the "tag Editor" to insert the "marquee" tag, which is not like "iframe." tags that provide a visual parameter settings interface, just insert simple code in the code "", hehe, it is maddening. There's no need to worry, now the tag checker comes in handy, and when you select the "Marquee" tab, the tag checker provides a detailed set of parameters to choose from, as shown in Figure 4.
