To draw a line with the Brush tool, first click on the picture, then move the mouse to another point, hold down SHIFT and click the picture again, and Photoshop will use the current drawing tool to draw a line between two points.

Any time you hold down the CTRL key to switch to the Move tool, hold down the Ctrl+alt key and drag the mouse to copy the current layer or selection contents.

Hold down the SPACEBAR to switch to the hand tool [H] (Hand Tool) at any time.

The zoom tool's shortcut key is "Z", in addition CTRL + SPACEBAR for magnification tool, ALT + SPACEBAR to shrink tool.

Press CTRL + "+" and "-" key to enlarge and reduce the image of the view; corresponding, press the above hotkey while holding down the ALT key can automatically adjust the window to Mansi display (ctrl+alt+ "+" and ctrl+alt+ "-"), this is very useful!

Note: If you want to automatically resize the window by the size of the picture when you use the Zoom tool, select the Resize window to Mansi (Resize windows to fit) option in the Zoom tool option.

You can define the current background color by holding down the ALT key when you select the color with the eyedropper tool.

With the color sampler tool [Shift+i] (color sampler Tool) and the info panel (Window > show info), we can monitor the color changes of the current picture. The color value before and after the change is displayed next to its sample point number on the information panel. The pop-up menu on the information Panel allows you to define the color mode for the sampling point. To add a new sampling point just click anywhere on the canvas (with the color Sampler tool) and hold down the ALT key to remove the sampling point.

Note: A maximum of four color sampling points can be placed on a single image

Tip: When a dialog box (such as a level command, Curve command, and so on) pops up in Photoshop, add a new sampling point that must hold down SHIFT and click, hold Alt+shift click a sample point to subtract it.

The metric tool [U] (Measure Tool) is very handy for measuring distances (especially on slashes), and you can also use it to measure angles (like a protractor). First make sure that the information panel [F8] (Window > Show info) is visible. Select the Metrics tool [U] Click and drag out a line, hold down the ALT key and drag the second line from the node on the first line, so that the angle between the two lines and the length of the line are displayed on the information Panel.

Note: Drag the measuring tool to move the measurement line (you can also move only one node of the measurement line individually), and drag the measurement line off the canvas to remove it.

Photoshop Interface Tips

You might know that by pressing the TAB key, you can hide the Toolbox and the floating panel, and also press Shift+tab to hide only the floating panel (while retaining the toolbar visible).

Hold down the SHIFT key and click on the title bar of the floating panel (the top blue bar) to make it adsorbed to the nearest screen edge.

Double-click each column on the floating panel (that is, the one with the title) to minimize it. The minimized buttons on the floating panel allow you to switch between compact mode (with minimal options and content visible) and normal mode (all of the options and content on the display panel).

You can open the options panel for the current tool by pressing the ENTER key (or by double-clicking the tool button on the Toolbox). Otherwise, you can only open it through the window > show Options command on the menu.

Use the scaling area (in the lower left corner of the Photoshop form or Navigator panel) to quickly select an accurate zoom, and pressing shift+enter when you enter a value causes the cursor to remain in the scaling area.

To change the status bar display information (at the bottom of the window, the default display file size, which can be opened by Window > show status bar), select a new item from the pop-up menu by pressing the button on the status bar. Click on the left area of the button on the status bar to display the current file size, hold down Alt-click to display file size and resolution, hold down CTRL and click the display tile information.

Tired of the gray canvas background? Select the Paint Bucket tool (Paint Bucket) hold down SHIFT and click the canvas edge to set the canvas background to the current foreground color.

Note: To revert to the default color, set the foreground color to 25% grayscale (r192,g192,b192) and press SHIFT again to click on the edge of the canvas.

The Cancel button in all of the dialog boxes in Photoshop can be changed to the reset button by holding down the ALT key. This allows you to easily revert to the original value without having to cancel it again.

The CapsLock key on the keyboard controls the switch between the precise state and the standard state of the cursor.

NOTE: If the cursor is set to the exact state in the parameters of Photoshop [Ctrl+k,ctrl+3] (File > Preferences >display & Cursors ...), then the CapsLock key does not work.

Press the "F" key to switch between Photoshop's three different on-screen display modes (standard display mode → full screen mode with menus → full screen mode) (or you can use the buttons at the bottom of the toolbox).

Tip: Press Shift+f in Full-screen mode to toggle the display of menus.

Double-click the background space in Photoshop to open the file command "ctrl+o" (File > Open ...).

Hold down SHIFT and click the color bar under the color panel to change the type of chromatogram it displays. Alternatively, you can right-click on the color bar and choose another color mode from the pop-up color bar options menu.

Right-click on the title bar of the picture window to quickly invoke commands such as canvas size commands, image size commands, and replication, and so on.

In any blank (gray) area of the Palette panel, click to add a custom color to the palette, hold down CTRL while you click to subtract a color, and hold down shift to replace a color.

You can exchange color data between Photoshop and other programs (other programs that support 16 color values) by copying the 16 color values shown in the Photoshop picker.

Photoshop Navigator and action tips

When you use Photoshop for a long time, you will often have to use the keyboard to control the Navigator (navigation) faster than using the mouse. Here are some common navigator shortcuts:

Home = To top left corner of canvas

end = to the bottom right corner of the canvas

PAGEUP = Scroll the canvas up one page

PageDown = Scroll the canvas down one page

Ctrl+pageup = Scroll the canvas to the left one page

Ctrl+pagedown = Scroll the canvas to the right by one page

Shift+pageup = Scroll the canvas up by 10 pixels

Shift+pagedown = Scroll the canvas down by 10 pixels

Ctrl+shift+pageup = Scrolls the canvas to the left by 10 pixels

Ctrl+shift+pagedown = Scroll the canvas to the right by 10 pixels

It is convenient to use CTRL+TAB/CTRL+F6 to switch between multiple documents (or you can use the Window menu).

The restore command [F12] (File > Revert) Restores the current document to its last saved state.

Warning: In Photoshop5.0, the Restore command clears the history at the same time! This means that all changes will be lost once the restore command was last saved! Photoshop5.5 corrected this point.

The channel also has its default corresponding hotkey.

This is a quick and easy way to add, subtract, and intersect between a selection/mask that is stored as a channel. Some common patterns are listed here:

RGB color CMYK Color Index color

CTRL + "~" = RGB

Ctrl+1 = Red

Ctrl+2 = Green

Ctrl+3 = Blue

Ctrl+4 = Other Channel

Ctrl+9 = Other Channel

CTRL + "~" = CMYK

Ctrl+1 = Cyan

ctrl+2 = Magenta

Ctrl+3 = Yellow

Ctrl+4 = Black

Ctrl+5 = Other Channel

Ctrl+9 = Other Channel

ctrl+1 = Index

Ctrl+2 = Other Channel

Ctrl+9 = Other Channel

For example, to create a selection to represent the intersection of Channel 7 and Channel 9, press ctrl+alt+7 (to load Channel 7 as a selection) and then press by CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+9 (again intersecting Channel 9).

Hold down the CTRL key and drag and drop in the agent preview area of the navigator to update the viewable area of the current document.

Tip: Hold down the SHIFT key while dragging the display box in the agent preview area to lock the direction of movement horizontally or vertically.

Tip: In the Panel options in the Navigator panel, you can change the color of the display box in the agent preview area.

To perform a single step in an action, select the steps you want to perform and hold down the CTRL key to play (at the bottom of the behavior panel).

Note: To change the parameters of some of the commands in the action, double-click the steps to open the related dialog box: Any newly filled values are automatically stored.

To start with a step in the action, just select the start step and press the play button (at the bottom of the behavior panel).

Tips for Photoshop copying

You can drag a selection from one document to another using the Marquee tool (Marquee Tool) or the Lasso tool (polygonal Lasso).

When you drag a selection or layer from one document to another, hold down the SHIFT key so that it is centered on the destination document.

Tip: If the source document and destination document have the same size (size), the dragged element is placed in the same place as the source document (not in the center of the canvas). Category:
