The order by clause is invalid in views, embedded functions, derived tables, and subqueries (Message 1033, Level 15, status 1)

Author: User
The order by clause is invalid in views, nested functions, derived tables, and subqueries unless top is specified for messages 1033, Level 15, status 1, and 5th.

By default, if you try to use order by in subqueries, functions, and views,

Create ViewDBO. vsortedorders

As
 SelectOrderid, customeridFromDBO. OrdersOrder ByOrderid

Go

The following error may occur:

message 1033, Level 15, status 1, 4th, unless top or for XML; otherwise, order by clause in view, inline function,
the derived table, subquery, and public table expressions are invalid.
The reason is that the SELECT statement for a table does not actually return a table but a cursor.

What should I do if necessary? The answer is to work with top 100 percent.

Select Top(100)PercentOrderid, customeridFromDBO. OrdersOrder ByOrderid, customerid DESC
