Symptoms
Microsoft Office Access 2007, when you drag a field to a form, the field order in the form differs from the field order in the record source. This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:

Drag a field from a table in the record source. |

You drag the field to the form in Layout view. |
Reason
This problem occurs because the order in which fields are displayed in the record source of the table is independent of the order in which Access 2007 returns fields in.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Open the database in Access 2007. |
2. |
Closes all open objects. |
3. |
In the Create tab, click a blank form in the forms group. Open in Form layout view. And, the blank field list is displayed on the form. |

Press the Alt+enter key to open the property sheet as a form. |
5. |
Click the Employees table for the record source. |
6. |
On the Format tab, click to add an existing field to the group of controls. |
7. |
Check the order of the fields in the field list. This order should match the order of the fields in the table. |

Select all fields, and then drag to all fields in the form grid layout. |
9. |
Check the order of the fields in the Layout form grid. Then, compare this order to the field order in the table. |
