Before this, please first brush the custom style, if not clear see click on the Open link to see the custom style inside.

Setting up captions requires support for multi-level lists, so that later chapters and subsections are automatically updated when you insert a chapter or a section in it, without changing them sequentially.

The difference between multilevel lists and styles:

Because the first chapter of the multilevel list is not normal text, the style is just a way to quickly format the text.

1. Define a new multilevel list and associate with a custom style

Why would you define a new multilevel list? The reason: because we define our own style when we write our paper, and our own multilevel list is not associated, we need to define a new multilevel list. As shown in the following:

In the Start tab bar---->>>> paragraph----->>> multilevel list

will appear as follows:

Set these three levels of headings in turn and associate them. Otherwise, it will appear in subsequent operations.

Captions or page numbers do not contain chapter numbers. To apply a chapter number, use the Multilevel list button on the Start tab, and then select a numbering scheme that links to heading styles. As shown in the following:

2. Insert Caption

Action is: reference---->>> Insert Caption, the dialog box for the caption appears and is set, as shown in:

Click "OK" to

Recommendation: After inserting a caption into a picture, then go through the 3rd step below to change "fig. 1" to "Figure 1-1",

Then paste the caption in the subsequent picture, then modify the caption and refresh the field, which is particularly fast and convenient.

3. Change "fig. 1" to "Figure 1-1"

There are roughly 5 ways to solve this problem:

The first method: create a new label directly "Figure 1-" "Figure 2-", and then sequentially insert captions in each chapter, because each chapter of the picture is still fixed does not appear the cross of the chapter. ------>>> This is the simplest way

The second method: the entire document first-level title automatic numbering is set to "1th chapter" in the middle of the Arabic numerals, the normal insertion of the caption reference, this time for the figure 1-1, and finally in the custom multilevel symbol changes "chapter 1th" into "the first chapter", Do not refresh the field of the caption can be----- >>>> This is a way to solve the problem by not refreshing the domain, not a good way

The third method: using the IF field code------->>>>> using nested IF statements, the code is as follows:

Figure {Quote {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "One" 1 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Two" 2 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "three" 3 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Four" 4 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Five" 5 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Six" 6 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Seven" 7 {if {Styl Eref 1 \s} = "Eight" 8 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Nine" 9 {if {STYLEREF 1 \s} = "Ten" {STYLEREF 1 \s}}}}}}} }} {SEQ table \* ARABIC \s 1}

Such a first-level to match, please look at the code in detail the mechanism of the Ming Xiao.

The Fourth method: turn a three-level title into four headings, one of which is set to Arabic numerals and hidden so that it can be invisible and similar to the first-level title----->>>> This method is common

For example, a document has a three-level title, auto-numbering

Chapter I.

Section I.

1.1,1.2,1.3 .....

This form

__________________________

Now I set the document to level four headings

respectively is

Chapter I.

1

Section I.

1.1,1.2,1.3 ...

The second-level title "1" does not appear in the document, and "one" in the "first chapter" is sibling.

A caption that references a level two title is equivalent to a reference level.

The Fifth method: The field code substitution method----->>>> is the most subtle and complex of many solutions, but I will explain the code in detail and diagram

The method steps are as follows:

(1) Copy the field code {SET lsq "January 1911 {STYLEREF \s paper body-first level title} Day"} {lsq \@ "D"} to the Clipboard as shown in:

Another type of field code can be the same:

Figure {QUOTE "January 1911 {STYLEREF 1 \s} day" \@ "D"}-{SEQ diagram \* ARABIC \s 1}

Table {QUOTE "January 1911 {STYLEREF 1 \s} day" \@ "D"}-{SEQ table \* ARABIC \s 1}

Formula {QUOTE "January 1911 {STYLEREF 1 \s} day" \@ "D"}-{SEQ formula \* ARABIC \s 1}

Domain Code parsing:

Set is an instruction used to define key-value pairs, for example, "LSQ" is used to define the name, of course you can also customize, if you call Li Wei, you can use "LW" to identify the key;

The following "January 1921 {STYLEREF \s thesis body-First level title} Day", the value of "lsq" string, i.e. "LSQ" stands for this worthy string;

{lsq \@ "D"} is the output expression, and the {STYLEREF \s in the "LSQ" string is the format of the output string, if it is "y-m-d", as shown in the text-first-level header} "D":

Will be shown as follows:

21 of them represent the next two in 1921, 1 for January, 2 for this is the second chapter from the text-level title of the paper quoted, 2 represents the sequence number of the chart.

This is the meaning of these code-bar statements, please understand well

(2) in the body, press ALT+F9 to switch to the field code view
(3) Press Ctrl+h to open the Find and Replace dialog box, on the Replace tab, set the Find content to "^d STYLEREF \s paper Body-First level title", enter "^c" in the Replace with, case-insensitive, note, "^d" after a half-width space, all replaced, ^ C represents the contents of the pasteboard.

(4) then press ALT+F9, switch to normal view, and refresh the domain to

The final result is shown:

conversion Success !!!

4. Problems that arise

(1) When you add a multilevel list in Word, you find that the first chapter, chapter two, and chapter three of the header are gone.

The solution is:

Add a domain to the header again

To automatically refer to the form "heading number + Level header content", when inserting a field, insert two styelref, tick the "insert paragraph number" On the first insert, and do not tick the second time

The end result is:

Press ALT+F9 to exit the domain mode, and then exit the header and footer editing mode.

(2) Sometimes set the second chapter, and then set the third chapter when the number of the figure is continuous, not starting from 1, as shown:

Should be "Figure 3-1 simulated annealing algorithm", its field code is:

It's time to change the field code again.

"\s 1" is changed to "\ R 1" To recalculate the value as shown in:

This can both
