The role of the designer is my college classmate, is also my friend, named Farhani, conceptual design for me to do a good reference. Armor and belt maps, I refer to some old Iranian books and paintings.
The first step: modeling
This character is built with polygons, and this is a popular method that 3D artists like. In this method, I built half the body's low precision model, using the Mirror (mirror) tool to complete the body.
I've used a lot of modeling methods, such as Extrude, Bridge, bevel, inset edge loop, cutting face and fill hole (pulling, bridging, chamfering, inserting the rim, cutting and filling). Maya's polygon modeling method is very good, because each tool gives you a lot of options, there is no limit to what to do. (Figure 01)

Next, I'm going to add some details and I subdivide the polygon to get better results. This step, I carefully increased the number of polygons, because the role is to be used as an animation model, and a coarse character is not. (Figure 02)

When I made the spear, I used the original cylinder and pulled out the style I liked. When making a knife, I used the curve curve tool to sculpt by squeezing and moving points and edges. (Figure 03)
