Limit the use of your colors. It seems like the last rule was to get you to limit your fonts, right? Very right! The reason we limit our colors is the same as the reason we restrict the use of fonts. Reducing the number of colors in our design will make it more harmonious. Basically, everything looks very consistent, like a sports team's sportswear or a company logo. -We want the uniform (sportswear) as a whole to look like a color.

As with selecting fonts, limiting the number of colors you use is a reference guide, not a guideline. You can use the color of the rainbow in your design very well, it will be very nice. But in the beginning, you need a strategy to use color and stick to it. To keep it running through your design.

For starters, let's take a look at the color value. The colour value of a color is its light and dark level. For example, a yellow is a very bright color, purple is a very dark color. Of course a color can have its color range. For example, purple is a color that most of us associate with dark colors, but purple also has very bright purple. Here's an example of some colors and their associated color values. Then what you can see is a color range of colors.

So when I'm using the color scheme I'll use one rule: Make sure you have a range of color values in your color scheme. In any design you need some light and some dark color to form a contrast. If you want to give an example, you design a dark background, you need a light color of the text, the picture. In such words, the picture is easy to read. Conversely, if you have a light-colored background, you need a dark picture, text, or something.

I will also be representative of only 2-5 colors to improve my color scheme. Reduce the number of choices, and you'll get a good result in your design. Here's an example of a color scheme where I put them together. As you can see, I used a dark color, a middle tone and a tint. Starting on the right, I set a color range for each color. These color combinations are like my palette and I will apply them to my design project. Once I have this palette, I will try my best to use only these colours.

Well, we've just talked about some of the techniques of color adoption, like how many colors you need to choose and how much color they should be, so what's the next step? I'll tell you what's next and the hardest part; that's how to decide the 2-5 colors! I personally think this is a difficult job at times. Here's a list of the tips to help me use my color scheme:

• Keep an eye on your surroundings
  The color scheme is all around you. Take a look at the packaging of the grocery store and look at the paint colors of your local Starbucks coffee shop and look at nature! If you see some delightful colors, just make a note in your mind and see if you can copy it to your computer.
• Pay attention to some of the company's trademark colors
  I often use some of the existing brand colors, I will look at their logo, color scheme and make it my original idea. You may then add only one or two colors.

As you can see, the compact color scheme and the uniform font really make everything neat.
