This semester serves as a TA for the tutor's class. These students performed unexpectedly better than the last time they taught foreign students how to express the basic situation of Chinese history in English, I learned more about my own academic journey. They showed me different stages and levels of my academic journey, even though most of them are undergraduates, it reflects the overall academic situation.

The 40 students in the class are divided into two groups, and a total of 8 discussions will be held on four topics. The task assigned to the students this time is: every 3 ~ 4. Set up a topic for discussion, such as the "systematic process of financial and goods flows". There are all the key reading articles selected by Professors. You can choose one or two articles on your own, import the notebook to report and discuss.

At the beginning of the semester, the students reported the articles they wanted to study. They saw some students in the same group trying to read the same article. I worried that their opinions would also pile up and I had advised them to make a new choice, but most of them keep their original choices. It doesn't matter to me. Unexpectedly, the vast majority of them were able to express different opinions under the requirement that they could not repeat the views of previous students.

Now six tutorials have passed, and their performances are amazing. From this, I have really seen a mature course of scholars, it is also the understanding and evaluation of academic history presented by various scholars in current academic circles:

Field 1: The Article does not understand. Fall into some specific words and paragraphs and cannot see the topic of the article. (This is true for only one or two students)

Field 2: Approximate number of articles read. Basically, I read only one end at a time and did not understand the demonstration process. In the report, I used little cleverness to connect one end with some logic and imagination. (Five or six of them are doing this, and some are even worse: they will be directed to the random criticism in level 3. 2)

Field 3: I have read the article. How the author's demonstration process is promoted step by step.

Paragraph 3.1: I believe what I see. After I understand what I say, I will not explore the source of my opinion or think about it myself. Students who indulge in this superstition often aim to "know more" and reveal TA's "Knowledge" as long as they have the opportunity ". (About 6 or 7 people do not have obvious consciousness or ability to propose creative ideas)

Field 3.2: The other is to accept the content if you don't believe anything. You don't have the object you can agree to or learn. In this way, you can criticize others to express your knowledge. Students who like this kind of route are often smart and may be well-remembered, but they are always filled with pride. What they have read will hardly be absorbed or digested, let alone grasp the essence. (In this case, 3 or 4 people criticized others and asked him what he had learned but could not summarize them. Some beats were made in the class, but they could not be changed in a short time)

Section 4: Read the article and understand the principle of "Understanding of sympathy. This kind of students began to understand that each study had a background in writing. The author's identity, position, and experience all affected TA's research, therefore, these students should pay attention to understanding their research from the context of the author's study. They should not criticize or blindly trust the research, but should pay attention to the integrity of the expression. Such students are steady, but there is no more possibility. (There are five or six such students who feel "appropriate" and "comfortable", but lack some spirituality .)

Section 5: I have read an article that combines other research and even historical materials with my own understanding. The premise is that TA has made great effort and attitude towards all kinds of research involved. What is higher than Level 4 is what ta can easily find and further improve and explore. This kind of report will show you the unlimited possibilities of this student. You can feel that TA's knowledge and wisdom have overflowed the 15-minute class report time you gave. Just like a tree with new buds everywhere, if you press the shutter button at random for the TA, the New and Old green trees are all beautiful. In fact, TA's life has extended beyond your camera. (Three or four of these students in the class are all undergraduates, which surprised me very much)
There are usually two types of Students in section 5, one of which is relatively arrogant and the other is relatively restrained and can be "moderate" and "easy to accept, it can be called the academic star.


The above "field positions" mainly focus on capabilities and kung fu. In addition, there is a very unpredictable thing-"spirituality", which determines whether this student/scholar will become a part of the "Lofty" in the future, or whether he is a "Lofty ". Spirituality is a kind of unmanageable genius. In terms of history, this kind of spirituality can be manifested in the change of ancient and modern times when the tishi Gong is studying Heaven and Man, understanding of this sentence. The subtle social meeting between "Heaven and Man... Change "instead of" observing "/" View "/" Knowledge "... The great difference in understanding from the "change" perspective and the conscious and modest in the so-called "one statement of the family" are all very specific historical and philosophical issues. So far, many people are still exploring NLP.

Maybe we are still in a stage where a "field" or a few "fields" are mixed, but we should see the road ahead. Don't feel like you are in the "Realm". You can only say "You are still on the road ......"
