A recent Bi project needs to use a domain environment. When a machine is added to the domain, the following error occurs:"The device does not recognize this command or prompts that the specified network name is unavailable."
To solve this problem, find some solutions.
If the domain fails to be added, follow the instructions below to find the cause:
1. Make sure that the DNS suffix settings in the Host Name setting and the added domain name are correct. Check whether the DNS in the IP settings directs to the DNS server. check whether there is a SRV record in the DNS or the netlogon service has not been restarted.
2. Modify the hosts file on the client and write the DNS domain name and IP address.
3. Check whether the DNS port number 53 is disabled.
4. Disable the Client Firewall! For example, ZoneAlarm.
5. The TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper Service is unavailable! The NetBIOS service receives communications from the following UDP ports: 137 (wins or NetBIOS Name Server), 138 (NetBIOS datagram service), and 139 (netbt client request program service ). Once disabled, all the communications on these interfaces will be ignored without notice. Check whether the vswitch ports are limited to ports 135 and 139!
6. Start the computer Brower service.
7. Start the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service.
8. Start the Windows Management Instrumentation. Service.
I tried the above methods one by one and found that the problem persists. After consulting Microsoft engineers, I found that there may be no patches installed.: WindowsServer2003-KB958644-x86-CHS.exeAs a result, I re-installed the patch on the domain control server and added it to the domain ......
