The author believes that the previous work focuses on how the migration technology is implemented, rather than using resource reservation policies to improve migration efficiency. This article studies the dynamic migration of multiple virtual machines based on resource reservation.
1. (ⅱ. B) describes how to implement resource reservation.
Resources to be reserved for source machine: CPU and memory (restrict CPU usage by adjusting the cap value, and control memory resource by dynamically adjusting the VM memory size)
Destination machine resources to be reserved: The whole virtual machine ResourcesProgramTo occupy CPU resources, and to occupy memory resources by creating virtual machines)
2. this article describes a series of experiments in the third chapter to study performance overhead caused by dynamic migration) impact of source machine Resource Reservation on dynamic migration performance, impact of DeST machine Resource Reservation on dynamic migration performance, performance impact of concurrent dynamic migration of multiple virtual machines, and work-load aware Dynamic migration policies. The conclusion is stated in the last chapter.
