November Headline:java once again above 20% since July 2009
Java still keeps rising in the TIOBE index. Now it had hit the 20% bar. Its popularity have probably risen further because of the successful JavaOne conference at the end of October. Java and C appear to is the 2 big languages at the moment. The gap between these 2 and the rest of the pack are now more than 10%. Big Movers and shakers in the top of this month is OpenEdge ABL (from #19 to #38), VBScript (from #77 to #46) and Go (fro M #65 to #48).
The TIOBE Programming Community index is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages. The index is updated once a month. The ratings is based on the number of skilled engineers world-wide, courses and third party vendors. Popular search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Wikipedia, Amazon, YouTube and Baidu is used to calculate the rating S. It is important to note the TIOBE index are not on the best programming language or the language in WHI CH Most lines of code has been written.
