Tips for inserting the same page numbers in the same document

Sometimes you need to insert the same page number in a document. For example, there are several articles in a document that you want to print, and each article that we need to print is a page number starting from 1. Then we can use the "Insert section break" feature provided by the WPS text, plus some settings for inserting page numbers to insert the same page number in the same document.

Insert a section break in the page where you need to reset the page number. You can select the section break that you want to insert by clicking Insert → separator on the menu bar, and then in the subordinate menu that pops up. (Figure 1) shows the menu that inserts the section break:

Inserting only section breaks cannot be inserted into the same page number because the default starting page number in a new section in the document inherits the page number from the previous section. At this point, we're going to have to take some time to insert the page number.

Position the mouse on any page of the new section. then click "Insert → page number" on the menu bar and the "Page number" dialog box will pop up. Don't hurry. "OK", click "Format" button. See (Figure 2):

Click the Format button, the page Number Format dialog box pops up. On the Page Number Format dialog box, click Start Page, the default starting page number is "1", or you can fill in other numbers as the starting page number for the section. (Figure 3) shows the page Number Format dialog box.

Click Start Page, and then two times OK to insert the desired page number.

In this hint, if there are many parts that need to start numbering from a certain number (for example, to set the number of pages to be numbered for more than one article at the beginning of the article), you can insert the page number by inserting the page number before the section. In this case, the new section page number will automatically change to a new page numbering, which is much more convenient than the first section, and then a repeat page number.
