WinPE people should not be unfamiliar with the system when it is used. But usually we use the WinPE system is installed on the USB stick, in fact, WinPE can also be installed on the hard disk, and can also be installed in the hidden partition of the hard disk, hidden partition under Windows is not recognized by the system, so that the virus will not be destroyed, more secure. 　　1. Create a new partition on your hard disk that stores WinPE

Because WinPE is often hundreds of MB in size, in order to avoid wasting too much hard disk space, we need to separate a smaller hard disk partition for WinPE. Specifically, we need to perform the following steps:

Make a backup of the last partition data of the hard disk, then run Diskgenius, then right-click on the partition where you want to install WinPE, select "Delete current Partition", delete it, then right click on the deleted partition, select "Partition → create new Partition", then open the "Make New Partition" dialog box , change the value 16 in the large oblique of the new partition to 15 and click the OK button.

Then click on the "Apply Changes" button in the main interface to make the new partition operation take effect, then select "Partition → format the current partition" to complete the format of the E-drive, then the hard disk partition appears on the right side of a column called "Idle", and then the partition of the E-disk operation, To the rest of the hard disk space to perform a new partition and format the operation of the partition can be, and finally right click on the remaining portion of the hard disk space of the column chart, select "Partition → convert to primary partition", the F disk is set as the primary partition.

2. Add boot Menu

Once the hard disk has been re-partitioned, the next step is to add a boot prompt menu to enable WinPE in the hidden partition to run properly even if the system crashes. The boot prompt menu is added in the following ways:

Run the extracted "Grubinst_gui.exe" first, then click the drop-down arrow to the right of the "Disk" Radio box and select "(hd0) [41863MB]" (This parameter means the size of the total capacity of the local hard disk, different computers are not the same); then click the Partition list The "Refresh" button on the right, click the drop-down arrow to the right of the "Partition list" and select the new "entire disk (MBR)" option inside.

After completing the above operation, check the "Do not search floppy disk at startup" and "Priority boot original MBR" check box, set the "Wait Time" and "Hotkey" parameters (for example, the former is 3, the latter is F9), and finally click the "Install" button, this will pop up a DOS prompt window, then press ENTER, You have completed the boot menu to add the operation.

　3. The installation of WinPE and the hiding of partitions

Double-click the downloaded WinPE tarball "Winpe.rar" and unzip it to the root of the partition to be installed to complete the installation of WinPE, then run Diskgenius, right-click on the column chart of the partition, select "Partition → hide Current Partition", and then click "Apply Changes" button and close Diskgenius, this completes the partition's hide operation.

After completing the above operation, reboot the system and when the "press F9 to start GRUB ..." prompt message is pressed, the F9 shortcut key will be visible, then you can see the WinPE boot menu, in the Startup window, select "Start Windows PE" and press ENTER. You can start WinPE normally.
