TL-TR861 5200 router supports China Unicom 3G network, just insert China Unicom SIM card to connect to 3G network, and provide wireless network. Wireless terminals such as mobile phones and tablets can connect to the wireless network to access the Internet.
This article introduces how to set up 3G internet connection in TL-TR861 5200.
Insert the SIM card as shown in the following figure:
After the installation is complete, press the power key to start the router.

Connect wireless signals
The wireless network name (SSID) of the router connected to the operating computer ).
The default SSID of the vrossid is
TP-LINK_3G_XXXXXX(X is the last six digits of the MAC address ). View the MAC address on the router label.

, Login vro Management Interface
Open your browser, clear the address bar, and enter
192.168.1.1. Press enter to bring up the logon page.
If this is the first login, you need to set the management password of the router. In

OK. If you have set a password, enter the password to go to the management page.

Keep the dialing parameters by default. Click
Next Step.
Note:: If the 3G carrier specifies the dialing parameters, enter the parameters in the corresponding positions.

Confirm parameters
Confirm the vro parameters you have just set on the completed page. After confirming the parameters are correct, click
CompleteThe router will automatically restart.
After the vro is restarted, if the 3G indicator is blue, the connection is successful. In this case, the wireless signal (zhangsan in this example) can be connected to the Internet.
Note:If the 3G indicator remains Blue, make sure that the SIM card is used properly on your mobile phone or 3G network card.
If the 3G indicator is not on, use the following method to exclude it.
After the SIM card is inserted, "no SIM card" is displayed on the OLED display of the vrooled. Troubleshoot the problem as follows.
After SIM is inserted, the direction of the SIM card must be correct, as shown in the following figure:
Note:View the Switch angle of the SIM card and the orientation of the metal chip.
The router only supports standard SIM cards. If the SIM card is a Micro card or Nano card, it cannot be recognized normally. Please replace the standard SIM card.
Note:The identification of the Micro SIM card with a card cover is related to the quality of the card cover, which can be identified in principle.
Most mobile 3G routers do not support hot swapping SIM cards. If SIM cards are inserted at startup, you need to shut down the routers and restart them before they can be properly identified.
Confirm the carrier corresponding to the vro model, as shown in the following table:
The router can only use the SIM/UIM card of a specific carrier. If the card of another carrier is used, the router cannot be identified.
Re-plugging the SIM card to prevent unidentifiable contact.
Restore the router to the factory settings, and check the SIM card recognition status after restarting.

If the SIM card still cannot be recognized after resetting, we recommend that you insert the SIM card into your mobile phone or 3g usb Modem to check whether the SIM card can be identified. If not, it indicates that the SIM card itself is faulty. We recommend that you contact the 3G carrier to check the card.
Other SIM cards can be used on the vro. If multiple normal SIM cards cannot be identified on the router, the router may fail and you need to contact the after-sales personnel for detection.
